Who We Serve
Hayward Promise Neighborhood is designed is to serve residents that live within the Jackson Triangle (Streets bounded by Harder Rd., Whitman St. and Jackson St.)
The Jackson Triangle is a diverse community with approximately 11,345 residents. At the same time, there a variety of local assets on which to build. Hayward is the home of California State University, East Bay and Chabot College; a direct partnership allowing for opportunities to support local students in postsecondary education.
In addition to Jackson Triangle residents, Hayward Promise Neighborhood also provides programs and resources for students that attend six schools within the Hayward Unified School District:
Although Hayward Promise Neighborhood is specifically targeted toward Jackson Triangle residents and students that attend the six Hayward Unified School District schools, the goal is for programs/services implemented in this community will spread beyond the HPN to larger community of Hayward.
